Entuity Adds GPU and Cooling Monitoring Across Three Chip Vendors

Park Place Technologies announced an Entuity Software update on October 22 that adds monitoring for AI accelerators and the infrastructure supporting them. Entuity V23.0 P03 covers GPUs from AMD, Intel and NVIDIA alongside servers, interconnects and liquid cooling systems.

The company describes dashboards for examining accelerator load, temperature, power consumption and health. It also lists monitoring for conditions such as memory errors, link degradation and cooling-system problems.

The release connects GPU information with the systems that keep those processors operating. Park Place says this can help teams investigate performance degradation that a simple availability alarm might miss.

According to the announcement, customers with active maintenance contracts can upgrade at no additional cost. New users can be onboarded to the latest version. These are the vendor's stated capabilities and terms, rather than an independent guarantee that every installation is supported.

For organisations running their own AI hardware, the operational question is broader than whether a server responds. A service may remain online while completing useful work more slowly or using capacity inefficiently.

JetherVerse's practical takeaway is to link monitoring to an action that someone owns. Decide which conditions need an alert, who receives it and what evidence the responder needs before making a change.

For example, a temperature alert is more useful when the operator can see whether the workload, power draw and cooling conditions changed at the same time. Separate dashboards can otherwise leave the team guessing about the cause.

Before deploying another monitoring product, inventory the equipment and confirm compatibility. Ask which measurements are actually available on the installed hardware and whether the environment's permissions allow them to be collected.

Test a representative alert and follow it through to resolution. A large dashboard is not a substitute for a clear maintenance procedure or an escalation route.
